Saturday, September 12th is the day and the 7km Titan course at Kilruddery House is the venue and all funds raised go to Climb4Clare. Cost is only €34 per person but places are limited so you must confirm your place by emailing lynsavage@ladiesgaelic.ie before June 26th. Some brave souls who took on the Hell and Back Challenge! We visited a few brave people that are taking on the Hell and Back challenge to raise funds for Climb4Clare. This promises to be a brilliant event that will be fun of laughter and craic that will really test you physically and emotionally but it will all be worth it for that cup of tea when you cross the line. Eimear Ní Dhuláinn, Derek O’Grady and Fiona O’Grady are all giving up their time to get ready for the challenge and they will prove that anyone can take on and beat the Hell and Back course! This is all for a great cause as all funds raised through this special event will go to the Climb4Clare fundraising initiative. Clare Clarke was a member of staff at the Ladies Gaelic Football Association who had a vision of introducing the Climb programme throughout Ireland. Climb helps children, who have a close relative who has been diagnosed with Cancer, to deal with the emotions that come with the diagnosis. Clare succumbed to Cancer in February this year but her dream of making sure children are equipped to deal with the emotions involved is very much alive through the Climb4Clare programme. To raise funds funds for Climb4Clare there will be a special Climb4Clare fundraising event held as part of the Hell and Back Titan which is taking place on Saturday, September 12th at Kilruddery House in Bray. This event will cost €34, half the usual cost, but all participants must raise funds for Climb4Clare To take part in the 7km run just contact Lyn at lynsavage@ladiesgaelic.ie but registration must be received by no later than Friday, June 26th.
