Lidl Ladies National Football League wrap Compiled by Daragh Small KERRY preserved their 100 per cent record and advanced to the final of the Lidl NFL Division 1 with victory against Meath on Saturday. In a repeat of the 2022 TG4 All-Ireland Final, the Kingdom avenged that defeat to secure a big 1-18 to 0-9 victory at home in Brosna. Kerry were already 1-7 to 0-5 ahead at half-time after Niamh Carmody’s early goal and she helped herself to 1-4 while Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh chipped in with 0-7 as their run goes on. Elsewhere, on Saturday, Dublin came from behind to rescue a late win against Mayo at DCU St Clare’s. It was 1-4 to 0-4 in favour of Mayo at the break after Sinéad Walsh’s strike. Walsh added a second goal and Mayo were 2-7 to 0-7 ahead before the revival. Hannah Tyrrell led the charge and although she missed a penalty there were goals from Kate Sullivan and Caoimhe O’Connor to secure a 2-11 to 2-7 success. And on Sunday, Galway edged one step closer to the decider when they went to Waterford and took home a 0-10 to 0-5 victory. Four frees from Roisin Leonard were the highlight but Galway’s defence was crucial to their win. Cork impressed with their 5-11 to 0-1 win against Donegal at Mallow. Libby Coppinger and Rachel Leahy both scored two goals while Orlaith Cahalane was also among the goals. In Division 2, leaders Armagh were 0-10 to 0-5 winners against Laois with Aimee Mackin scoring 0-4. Clara English scored the only goal and Tipperary beat Monaghan 1-11 to 0-7. Aisling Gilsenan was the match winner for Cavan in their narrow 2-9 to 2-8 victory over Roscommon. Aoife Horisk and Caoimhe McCaffrey bagged the Tyrone goals in their 2-13 to 1-12 defeat of Westmeath. In Division 3, there were victories for Kildare, Clare, Wexford and Sligo.
