KERRY LADIES COLOURFUL WEB SITE LAUNCH

The Kerry Ladies Gaelic Football Board enjoyed a colourful launch of their web site www.kerryladiesfootball.com at Pat McDonnells Paint Superstore in Manor West Tralee on Friday night, 8th of February. Present at the launch were Marie Rohan of Kerry Group PLC who also renewed their sponsorship of Kerry Ladies Gaelic Inter County Football teams for the next 3 years, also present were Victor Sheahan of Kerry County Enterprise Board who gave financial assistance to aid the setting up of the web page and Paul Crowley, General Manager of Pat McDonnell Paint Superstore Tralee who are the sponsors of the web page.

Also present was Marie Halvey, Munster Ladies Gaelic Football Secretary, Jerry Savage  Kerry Supporters Club, Jim O’Sullivan, of Acorn Life Insurance (sponsors of U12 and U13 County Ladies Football Leagues 2008) and John Keogh of JAK Construction Killarney sponsors of the Minor A and B County Championship 2008.

Officers of Kerry Ladies Football Board who were present were Jerry O’Mahony Chairman, Catherine Keogh Secretary, Christena Murphy Registrar, Frank McLoughlin Fixtures Secretary and Riana Kennedy and Catherine Sexton, Senior Kerry Ladies Football players.

Paddy White Vice Chairman in his launch speech thanked the following people who without their help this new and exciting venture for Kerry Ladies Gaelic Football would not be possible.

To Kerry Group PLC who are our proud Inter County Team sponsors represented by Marie Rohan on the night and Paddy stated that their input was most important and we were very welcome and appreciative of the support from Frank Hayes and the staff of Kerry Group PLC and that the Kerry Ladies Gaelic Football Board and all the players of this excellent game thanked Kerry Group PLC for their financial committment for the future of our games in Kerry.

He also thanked Victor Sheahan of Kerry County Enterprise Board who considered the opportunity of the web page on its merit and thought it was an excellent example of how Kerry Ladies Gaelic Football can excell in their future development of their game and for the girls particpating in this sport.

To Paul Crowley,General Manager Pat McDonnells Paint Superstore for the use of their store to launch the web site and for their sponsorship of the web site, Paddy also said that when he approached Paul and asked for his support in building the web site for Ladies Football in Kerry, and that Pauls enthusiasm for this project was and is what makes this evenings launch a proud achievement for Ladies Football in this county.

Paddy also thanked the clubs for sending in information to the site and long may they continue to do so, all club photos and match reports are always welcome and that info will be stored for many years to come for past, present and future players, mentors and officals to view at anytime.

And a very special mention and deep gratitude was extended to Eamonn Moriarty, who designed the web site over the course of three weeks with the help of Mary Roche, for their vision and their involvement in this project.
