Sarsfields kept the pressure on the home team and Brooke Dunne, Laura Scales and Katie English further added points to the Sash tally. Great interplay between Gemma Harnett and the forward players soon had the Sash girls racking up the scores, with Laura, Katie, Shauna and Brooke adding to their scores and Molly Cassidy and Emily Aulsberry joining them on the score sheet. It wasn’t all Sarsfields game as Caoimhe O’Fearghaill found space and punished the Sash team with a goal. Soon after, goalie Niamh Hannon had to pull off a sublime save, fielding it out to Anna Lawless she found Ciara Morris in space, an onward pass to Laura Scales found her linking up with Emily Aulsberry and in turn Shauna Kendrick for another point before half time, leaving the Sash girls ahead 0-17 to 1-0. The Sarsfields management emptied their bench whilst the substitutes settled into their positions, the home team used the lapse in concentration to put away two goals the first from Sabrina Kennedy and the second from Caoimhe O’Fearghaill. Undeterred the Sash did their best and worked the ball through the team to pull back two points, The Kildangan/Nurney keeper Emily Cains was superb in goals pulling off numerous saves throughout the match, spurred on Caoimhe and Sabrina came running at the Sash backline with Sabrina scoring a brace and Caoimhe doubling her score. Again, the Sash came out fighting Brooke Dunne linked in with Ciara Morris who set up Shauna for a goal.
