As the underage games takes off in earnest we would like to wish all underage teams and managements the best of luck in the year ahead.

 

Kilglass Gaels senior men’s team get their competitive year of to a start on Sunday 22nd March @ 11:30am when they travel to Croghan to take on Shannon Gaels in first round of the Tansey Cup. Please come out and support the lads and be part of all important sixteenth man.

 

Lotto: Kilglass Gaels Lotto took place in CJ’s on Saturday night last: the numbers drawn were 17,19,22,24 Bonus 12. No Jackpot winner 2 x 3 number winner s €100 each–Barry Conroy & Kevin Feeney.  Next week’s jackpot €7,300 for 4 correct numbers and €11,300 for 4 correct numbers PLUS the bonus number. Draw for 21st Mar takes place in Weir Lodge.

 

Kilglass Players Presents: Three one act plays, Wedding Night Blues, Up The Garden Path and Mary Mary performed by local drama groups in Kilglass  Gaels GAA centre on Friday 20th March curtain up at 8.00pm! Doors open at 7.30pm! Monthly Club Meeting: The monthly club meeting will take place in clubrooms on Thurs 26th March at 8:30p.m. There are a number of items up for discussion. All members are asked to attend.

 

Topaz Cash For Clubs. Kilglass Gaels have entered a COMPETITION with TOPAZ- If you purchase €40 worth of Petrol or Diesel at any Topaz Garage just ask to have a loyalty card stamped and get a receipt. When the cards are full the can be returned with receipt to any club official. The cards will be returned to Topaz, closing date May 10th. Prizes as follows: 1 lucky club will win €10,000, 10 clubs win €5000 each, 140 clubs win €1000 each every club entered will receive €250. We would ask everyone in the community to try and get involved and also ask your friends and family around the country to get involved. A meeting in relation to Topaz Stamp Collection will take place in clubrooms on Wed 18th Mar at 10p.m. We would appreciate a large turnout of players members and supporters.

 

Senior Scor: Congrats to our Figure Dancers, Recitation, Novelty Act and Sean Nos Dancer on winning County titles in Elphin on Saturday last. They now go forward to represent both club and county in the Connacht finals at the end of March. Well done to all concerned.

 

Kilglass Rooskey Slatta Community Get Fit – Get Healthy Challenge: If you haven’t joined up yet it’s not too late! Come along any evening and sign up! You won’t be disappointed. A healthier lifestyle starts here! Activities Week 4 Mon 16th to Mon 23rd: Mon 16th:  Talk on Diabetes with Rachel Halliwell @ 7:30pm followed by weigh-in and walk at pitch.  Tue 17th: Pitch will be open for walkers from 10am to 12noon. Wed 18th: Walk at pitch 7-8.30pm. Thurs 19th: Healthy Food Preparation with Elizabeth Durcan & Brian Hall at 8pm  Pitch will be open to walkers at 7p.m. Fri 20th: No Activities Sat 21th: Morning Walk at pitch 8:30-10a.m. Sun 15th: 4 Km Road walk (meeting at Tully shop Slatta 8:30a.m).Mon 23rd: Talk on health and fitness with John Russell at 7:30p.m. followed by weigh in and walk at pitch.

Progressive 25: Continues in Kilglass Community Centre on Tuesday nights at 8.30p.m. Last week’s winners- Johnnie McHugh, Seamus Kilcrann & Noel McDermott – 5 games. New Players welcome.
