This was a tough hard fought game with both teams giving their all. Kilmihil played as a unit and were more economical with scoring chances. This excellent team performance began with goalie Siobhan Egan who had a great game between the posts. Kilmihil backs gave Liscannor forwards very few options and Joan O’Halloran led from full back aided by Colette Downes and Elaine O’Halloran. Fiona O’Neill controlled centre back and was ably assisted by Linda Russell and Miriam Frawley. Dympna Walsh and Rosemary Currane worked tirelessly and won the mid field battle. Kilmihl’s half forward line of Sharon O’Gorman, Una Downes and Helen Malone played excellent football and linked up well with the full forward line of Ailish Considine, Sarah Cahill and Eimear Considine. Yvonne Downes and Evelyn McGuane did well when introduced. Liscannor had good performances from Aine Burke, Carmel Considine, Aine Greene and Leona Murphy.
