Ladies Football Wishes Footballing Roses Well in Rose of Tralee Message from Cumann Peil Gael na mBán Cumann Peil Gael na mBán has lent its support to the four ladies footballers competing in this year’s Rose of Tralee pageant. The Leicester, Georgia, Sligo and Waterford Roses in the 2009 Rose of Tralee are all active ladies footballers. Leicester Rose Hannah Oguz represented UUJ in the O’Connor Cup while Georgia Rose Sinead Lynch plays for the Clan na nGael club in Atlanta as well as acting as Treasurer. Sligo Rose Sinead McGill plays for Eastern Harps in the Yeats County and Orna Middleton, the Waterford Rose plays for the St Anne’s Club in her native Waterford. Helen O’Rourke, CEO of Ladies Football, said, “This year we are delighted to have such a strong representation of ladies footballers in the Rose of Tralee.
