Ladies Gaelic web site shoots past the 2 million hits mark The Ladies Gaelic Web site hit statistics for the month of November 2004 shows the website continuing to attract new members. In November 2003 the web site hit statistics were 880,153 hits for the month with a total of just over 16,000 visitors. NUI Galway and UCC were the two colleges that had the most visitors to the web site. Visitors from overseas were in the main from the UK being 12% of the total number of visitors closely followed by the US. One year on and things have changed dramatically……the amount of hits to the Ladies Gaelic web site has almost trebled to over 2,221,000 hits a month. A grand total of over 27,400 visitors entered the site this month and surfed the site for an average of 10 minutes each time they visited. Overseas visitors while still in the main originating from the UK and US has also increased to Countries such as China, Brazil, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and even as far as Iran. Style as well as skill is obviously still a big factor in the game as over 200,000 hits (10% of total hits for November) were counted on just the one day, November 29th as visitors viewed the All-Stars photo gallery of the big night. The Ladies Club who provides the most visitors through their web site to The Ladies gaelic Web Site is CLG Na Fianna with a massive 541 visitors, more people link to us from CLG Na Fiannas web site than the GAA’s main web site www.gaa.ie. Maghery, Bredagh, Parnells of London and the North American County board also provide many visitors to the web site Otherwise somethings never change, the two biggest Colleges for visitors remain NUI Galway and UCC, followed by GMIT, UCD, TCD, DCU and Maynooth.
