Laoch Programme for Adult County Players

The LGFA ‘Laoch’ Programme aims to develop and upskill aspiring LGFA adult county players to increase their visibility and profile but also providing continuous professional development in relation to media and their position as a role model.

 

 

Who is the Programme for?

‘Laoch’ is aimed at current and former adult county players.

 

Why Should You Attend?

The profile of our game has increased rapidly over the past few years and it is essential that we provide the training and support required by our key models as they aspire to enhance communication and motivate and inspire others to get involved in sport. The training will also be delivered by experts in the field of media and leadership.

 

What are the Aims of the Programme?

• Support county players to build and communicate their story of their journey through sport
• Provide skills to players to enable them to increase their own profile and visibility
• Share interview and communication tips from experts in the media
• Encourage players to be a voice for the importance of sport and promote the positive values

Building My Sporting Journey – Monday 10th January at 7.30pm on Zoom

Two hour online webinar with Rachael Mackenzie, senior athlete mentor with Youth Sport Trust and former Thai Boxing World Champion. A session not be to missed!

 

Media Training Masterclass – Saturday 22nd January at 10.00am, Carlton Hotel, Santry, Dublin

Spend the day with expert female media role models from Women on Air as they inspire you to engage with the media and share their knowledge, experience and expertise from being involved in national media. They have trained the best females in the business!

 

What is the Cost per Participant?

 

It is free of charge for all players taking part.
