Laois Ladies Qualify for Semi-Finals

Laois Senior Ladies qualified for the semi-finals of
the TG4 Leinster Championship when they had a convincing
win over Wexford earlier today (Sunday 6th) at Crettyard.
Despite the 11am throw-in a sizeable crowd turned out for
this 2nd Round clash and Laois were out of the blocks early
on when Sue Ramsbottom goaled after 40 seconds of action.
Laois playing against the wind in the first half led by
3-09 to Wexford’s 0-4 at the break.

Wexford managed to add no further scores in the second half
as Laois turned on the style managing to double their first
half total finishing the game with a commanding 36 point
lead which will do the Slaneysiders confidence no good.
The game finished Laois 6-22 Wexford 0-4. Laois now await
the result from the game between Louth and Dublin which
takes place in Ardee at 3pm to see who takes 1st place in
the other group and who they will meet in the Semi-final.
