Laois player Emma Lawlor the early leader in race for 2022 ZuCar Golden Boot award

LAOIS player Emma Lawlor is the early pace-setter in the race for the 2022 ZuCar Golden Boot, which will be awarded to the top scorer in the 2022 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships.

Lawlor scored 2-5 in last Sunday’s TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship victory over Sligo, to put her at the head of affairs but just one point clear of team-mate Erone Fitzpatrick (2-4).

Clare’s Fidelma Marrinan collected 1-6 as the Banner County got their campaign off to a winning start against Down, while another Laois player, Mo Nerney, is in fourth place after registering 1-5 against Sligo.
