Gabrielle re-elected unopposed as Louth Ladies Chairperson Louth Ladies held their AGM on Sunday 15th January 2006. Gabrielle Clarke from St. Mary’s club in Ardee was unanimously re-elected as Chairperson for her second year in office. Mary Hamill and Sandra Callan from Naomh Martin were also appointed to the committee with all other officers being re-elected. There was a good attendance at the meeting with 11 out of 15 clubs represented. Assistant Chairperson(s) ; Johann Fedigan (Hunterstown), Mary Hamill (Naomh Martins) Secretary : Eucharia Kirk ( Naomh Malachi) Assistant Secretary : Anne Fedigan (Hunterstown), Sandra Callan (Naomh Martin) PRO : Teresa Hanratty (Stabannon) Registrar : Anne Fedigan (Hunterstown) Treasurer : Johann Fedigan (Hunterstown) Assistant Treasurer : Teresa Hanratty (Stabannon) Development Officer : Gabrielle Clarke (St. Marys) The registrars report indicated a growth in Ladies football in Louth as there are now 512 ladies playing football within the county and 15 clubs registered in 2005, up 3 on 2006. It is hoped that this number will grow over 2006. A number of motions were proposed and passed by clubs which will result in a much more strict approach to the playing of fixtures as set by the county board. U14 County Managers Barney O’Neill (St. Vincents) and Peter McArdle (Roche Emmets) were appointed while Harry Brennan (Naomh Martin), Peter McArdle (Roche Emmets), Davy Sheils (Roche Emmets) and Mary Hamill (Naomh Martin) will take charge of the U16 county team. Louth County Board looks forward to the year ahead and wishes all clubs every success in their endeavours to reach the top of their division in both League and Championship competitions. Louth will be entering teams at Senior and Junior County grades for 2006 and both teams will play their first game on 5th February 2006. It is hoped that the County Board will ratify the County Management Teams this week for Senior, Junior and Minor grades. In the interim, large numbers have been county attending training in JJB indoor soccer stadium for the last number of weeks. The next meeting to take place on Monday 6th February at 8.30pm sharp in Fairways Hotel Dundalk at which Club fixtures will be decided. Share this Article 0 0
