Lawlor Receives PPS Player of the Year as Leinster PPS Competitions are Launched

On Thursday 29th September Leinster Council launched its Post Primary Schools Programme for 2016/17 in Àras Laighean, Portlaoise. A representative of our sponsors LIDL was in attendance. LGFA President, Marie Hickey, also attended.

Leinster President, Finbarr O Driscoll,  addressed the gathering and presented the 2015/16 PPS Player of the Year Award to Emma Lawlor of Scoil Chrìost Rì, Portlaoise. Leinster Council congratulates Emma on her achievement. She played a prominent role in her school’s All-Ireland win scoring 5-2 on the day. She received the Player of the Match Award for her display. She also figured prominently for Leinster PPS in the Interprovincial tournament in Kinnegad. We wish her continued success with her school, county and province.

Leinster Post Primary Schools Launch

Leinster LGFA in association with New Official Sponsors LIDL are launching the 2016 Post Primary Schools Competition 2016/17.

The number of schools participating in the Leinster LGFA Post Primary Schools competitions has increased significantly particularly in recent years. There are over 300 teams taking part in the Senior and Junior competitions. The U14 competition will commence after Christmas with the predicted number of teams competing to rise above 150.
