Leitrim's Michelle Guckian continues to lead in race for 2022 ZuCar Golden Boot

LEITRIM star Michelle Guckian continues to lead the way in the race for the 2022 ZuCar Golden Boot, which will be awarded to the top scorer in the 2022 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships.

But Michelle and Leitrim’s interest in the Intermediate Championship has now come to an end and Longford’s Michelle Farrell is just a point behind.

Guckian finishes her campaign with a total of 1-17, a point clear of Farrell (2-13), who has an All-Ireland Intermediate quarter-final against Clare to look forward to on Sunday June 26.

Wicklow’s Marie Kealy (0-16) and Tyrone’s Chloe McCaffrey (2-10) are next in the standings, locked together on 16 points, with a cluster of five players a point further back.
