Leitrim's Michelle Guckian takes over as 2022 ZuCar Golden Boot leader

LEITRIM star Michelle Guckian has moved to the head of affairs in the race for the 2022 ZuCar Golden Boot, which will be awarded to the top scorer in the 2022 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships.

Michelle has a total of 1-11 from Leitrim’s two games to date in the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship, with an away fixture against Wexford up next on Sunday, June 12.

Michelle is a point clear of three players in the current standings, with Kildare’s Aoife Rattigan (1-10), Wicklow’s Marie Kealy (0-13) and Tyrone’s Chloe McCaffrey (2-7) all locked together on 13 points.

Mairead Daly (Offaly), Katie Walsh (Sligo) and Emma Lawlor (Laois) are next on the list with 11 points.
