Expressions of Interest Sought for the Management Committee of Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) The Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) is firmly established as one of the largest females sporting bodies in Ireland. The LGFA has a rapidly growing membership with over 1,200 clubs across Ireland and internationally. The Management Committee of the LGFA are actively recruiting independent members to join their board. The Committee seek expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced personnel from any of the following areas: leadership, strategy, business development and commercial. The Management Committee of the LGFA is responsible for the management of the affairs of the Association, including its general activities, matters of discipline, finances, and implementation of policies determined by Congress. The Management Committee provides leadership to the Association, within a framework of prudent and effective controls, which enables risks to be assessed and managed. To be an effective contributor to the committee it is recommended that members Bring independent scrutiny to the oversight to the Association Be prepared to be challenging when necessary while being supportive to the delivery of the Association strategy and objectives Be equipped to offer considered advice on the basis of sound judgement and experience Be prepared to make a time commitment to their work commensurate with the role The Management Committee is chaired by the President of the Association and meet monthly. The Committee currently maintains a 50:50 gender representation and will strive to maintain this ratio as part of this recruitment process.
