Limerick LGFA - St. Patrick's LGFC host the first Limerick LGFA U10 Blitz of 2019

A blustery Saturday morning did not spoil the fun at the St. Patrick’s LGFC – U10 Limerick LGFA County Blitz.

Eleven clubs (and approx. 120 girls) from across the county descended upon St. Pat’s (host venue) last Saturday, 9 April, as girls from Ahane, Fr. Casey’s, Galtee Gaels, Knockainey, Mungret St. Paul’s, St. Patrick’s, Old Mill, Ballylanders, St. Brigids, Monaleen and St. Senan’s proudly represented their clubs… (wearing their club colours), as the eager players ‘chomped at the bit’ to compete against each other. The girls played their hearts out and weren’t found wanting for their efforts, football skills, fun and dedication on the day.

A huge thanks to St. Patrick’s Ladies Gaelic Football Club for coordinating and hosting the first Limerick underage blitz of 2019. Thanks also must go the players who made this U10 Blitz event so enjoyable. To the parents who helped and supported this event in every way, the referees and match officials, car park attendants, catering, team mentors, Pat, Breda, Maria and Sandra from Limerick LGFA and to our underage sponsors Ingenium TC.

Fr. Caseys and Mungret St. Pauls will represent Limerick in Croke Park at the LGFA National U10 Blitz in mid-April. Congratulations to both clubs.
