By about 4pm on Saturday we should know all the 6 Post Primary Schools who will be battling it out in the TESCO All Ireland Post Primary School ‘A’ ‘B’ and ‘C’ Senior Championship Finals on the 24th of March. It is a jam packed couple of days with a few new faces to the competition but also a few favorites there again this year. Earlier today Loreto Omagh overcame Holy Rosary Mountbellew (Galway) by a scoreline of 5-12 to 2-06. Well done to the girls from Tyrone and hard luck to the Galway students. This means that the Omagh school will be meeting either reigning Champs St Leo’s of Carlow or Colaiste Ide agus Iosef of Limerick in the Tesco All Ireland Post Primary Senior ‘A’ Championship Final on the 24th of March. In the Senior B Championship another Galway side, Presentation Athenry will take on St Louis of Carrickmacross on Friday the 2nd of March at 12.30pm in Kinnegad. On the other side of the draw Scoile Mhuire of Trim will come up against St Flannan’s of Clare. One of these four will be crowned TESCO All Ireland Senior ‘B’ Champions on the 24th of March. The ‘C’ Championship all 4 Provinces have reached the semi final stages. On Friday the 2nd of March it is Dublin versus Waterford as Loreto Balbriggan and St. Augustine’s Dungarvan will go head to head in McGrath Park in Bagenalstown Co. Carlow at 12.30pm. The following day Ursuline College Sligo meet Our Lady’s of Castleblayney in Mullahoran in Cavan at 2pm. So for all the host towns around the Country don’t be surprised when bus loads of teenagers arrive in the town over the next few days! Once Again – Best of Luck and Enjoy from all in the LGFA!
