The race to succeed Cork as the Aisling McGing Under 21 champions will get underway this weekend throughout the country. Defending champions Cork will meet Kerry this weekend and again enter the competition as favourites as they call on senior stars like Roisin Phelan, Jennifer Barry, Doireann O’Sullivan, Emma Farmer and Elaine Scally to make a starting 15 that would give most senior sides a real competitive game. Elsewhere on Saturday, last year’s beaten finalists, Galway meet Roscommon whilst Meath take on Cavan and the only other team to win the title, Dublin, get their campaign underway against Louth.
