MEATH LADIES Leinster u14 A Final

MEATH LADIES

Leinster u/14 A Final

Dublin v Meath
Date: 23rd May, 2009
Venue: Ballinagore, Co. Westmeath.
Time: 2.45pm

On this Saturday 23rd May Meath Ladies take on Dublin once again in a Leinster Final. This time it’s the under 14s who will go head to head with their metropolitan counterparts in Ballinagore, Co. Westmeath. Meath played Dublin in the first round of the league series in Ashbourne, where a very stiff breeze made predicting the outcome very difficult. Dublin won on the day having dominated in the first half, while the Royals having the wind in the second half put up a fine display. However, since then the Meath panel have regrouped and have remained unbeaten in the rest of the campaign, picking up victories against Wicklow, Kildare, Wexford, and Laois. In the semi final, Kildare were the opponents and Meath ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 3-10 to 1-05.

The Meath u14s are constantly improving and will certainly face a tough task against the Jackies on Saturday at 2.45, however with the talent in the side the calibre of Lauren Patterson, Caroline Brothwood, Shelby Leahy, Laura Dempsey and Laura Murray, the Royals will be hoping for a positive result, and the possibility of retaining the under 14 Championship.

All supporters welcome.
