The Mini Sevens

On the 1st of October in Croke Park the Junior Sligo
Ladies will be taking centre stage once again for the third time
and this time they will meet Leitrim. It will be a local darby between
two neighbouring countys. At half time they host a Mini Sevens of
girls under the age of 12 yrs from Sligo V Leitrim and Armagh V
Cork. This is so important to those girls who have been nominated
by their clubs to represent their County and a great privilege to
play on Croke Park. We would like to wish those girls the very best
and also enjoy their moment on the big stage.

The girls who are representing Sligo County are Back Row (L-R) Denise
Conlon (Geevagh), Aine Stenson (Curry), Laura Burke (St Johns),
Laura Gillespie (Tubbercurry), Aisling Ewing (Drumcliffe)

Front Row (L-R) Emma Hansbury (St Marys), Shauna Brady (St Pats),
Fatima Walid (Calry), Leah Kerrigan (Coolera). Missing form the
photo is Leanne Dunne from St Farnans.

All of the above girls were involved in the County U12 Team this
year under the careful management of Ted Maloney.

Also included in the other picture is the County U12 Team who were
presented with tracksuits on Saturday evening for all their hard
work over the summer. It is the first time that Under 12 in Sligo
county have got tractsuits and they were delighted as you can see
by their faces.
