Natasha Ferris still leads race for ZuCar Golden Boot award ahead of pivotal weekend!

DOWN’S Natasha Ferris continues to lead in the race for the 2023 ZuCar Golden Boot award!

Ferris remains at the head of affairs on 7-23 (44 points), four points clear of nearest challenger, Clare’s Fidelma Marrinan (4-28 – 40 points).

Ferris and Marrinan will both be in action next weekend in the TG4 All-Ireland semi-finals.

Ferris and Down will pit their wits against Carlow in the Junior semi-final at Parnell Park, as Marrinan and her Clare colleagues go up against Antrim at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, Longford, with both of those games on Sunday.

Westmeath’s Aoife Connolly is still in third place but cannot add to her tally following the Lake County’s quarter-final exit from the Intermediate Championship.

Antrim’s Orlaith Prenter, in fourth place, will hope to make up ground on the leaders and the Saffrons will face Marrinan and Clare in the Intermediate semi-final.
