O CONNOR CUP QUARTER FINALS

Two of the O Connor cup quarter finals were played yesterday and the other two are scheduled for today. In the first of the quarter finals Queens defeated UCC 2-11 to 0-9 and have now qualified for their first O Connor cup weekend for over ten years. In the semi final they will play the University of Limerick. UL beat UCD 1-15 to 2-11 after extra time.

Today holders UUJ will play Sligo IT in Jordanstown at 1-30pm. In the other quarter final tie there will be lots of Ulster interest. Donegals Niamh Hegarty will line out for NUI Galway as they attempt to overcome DCU in Dublin at 2-30pm. The Dublin based side will feature Monaghans Mc Anespie twins and Cavans Bronagh Sheridan.
