Offaly Continue Impressive Start

Offlay recorded their second successive TESCO HomeGrown National Football League Division 4 victory as they overcame Roscommon in a close fought encounter.

Clara was the venue for the meeting of Roscommon and Offaly where both teams produced some good moments in spite of the conditions. Offaly got off to the better start and raced into a good early lead with a good goal putting day light between the sides after 51 minutes.

Roscommon battled back bravely and were right back into it thanks to a goal from Rachel Ryan but their momentum was broken when Offaly claimed their second goal of the match to put 4 points between the sides and kill of Roscommon’s fight back.

Final Score: Roscommon 1-09 Offaly 2-12
