It is great to see so much activity taking place across the country with many volunteers, players and officials involved. It is that time of the year again when we have opportunities available for clubs and members to apply for and all of our programmes and initiatives have been designed, reviewed and updated in consultation with our members to ensure they are meeting their needs. Coaching Teenage Girls in Sport Workshops The Coaching Teenage Girls in Sport workshop emerged from collaboration between Sport Ireland Coaching, Sport Ireland Women in Sport, the Federation of Irish Sport, Life2Good Foundation, who also provided funding which was supplemented by Dormant Accounts Funding. The Ladies Gaelic Football Association are delighted to organise a series of regional workshops in 11 venues. The programme targets girls aged between 8-12 years who are not currently registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football club. In essence, this is a tool to attract new players.
