Patrick Fahy and Co Solicitors Tyrone Ladies Football championship Draws 2017

St Macartan’s will begin the defence of the Tyrone senior football championship against Glenelly with the potential for a massive semi-final against some of the big hitters on the cards if they can account for the St Joseph’s girls.

The draws for the Patrick Fahy and Co Solicitors adult football championships were made on Tuesday evening and once again the championship Summer will be filled with some intriguing contests in the four adult grades.

As Macartans attempt to annex the Jarleth Kerr cup again there are plenty of combatants focused on dethroning the champions. Errigal Ciaran await the winners of a preliminary tie between  last years intermediate football champions Ardboe and Sperrin og while Carrickmore face the task of Aodh Ruadh in the prelims, at the quarter final stage the winners play Strabane. The winners of those two quarter finals will eventually go toe to toe in the last four.

Last year’s beaten finalists Kileeshil will face Clan na NGael and will be keen to progress again. St Macartan’s though have made no secret that they want to retain the title and have another crack at the Ulster series.
