Paul Kelly has been appointed as the new Manager of the Kildare Ladies Football Senior Teams Cumann Peil Gael Na mBan Cill Dara are delighted to announce that Paul Kelly has been appointed as the new Manager of the Kildare Ladies Football Senior Teams on a three year basis . Paul is a Dublin native having an extensive playing, coaching & administrative background with his local Club, Thomas Davis GAA in Tallaght. He subsequently represented the Annacurra club in Wicklow for a period prior to moving into Kildare where he joined the Eadestown Club. In his time with Eadestown Paul continued playing until recently, but also concentrated on assisting with the set up of that clubs successful juvenile coaching structure. During his spell with Eadestown he also assisted in the coaching / selection of the Eadestown Men’s Intermediate side. However his key achievement during his time at the club was working with the Ladies section and helping re-establish them as a power house within Kildare Ladies football. During his management tenure Eadestown had ongoing success, attracting a significant increase in participation which enabled the establishment of a successful second team for the first time in the clubs history & also brought them the title of Ladies Club of the year in Kildare. The success was further evidenced through Kildare Division 1 & 3 titles, Dublin Intermediate League & Cup Winners, All Ireland Sevens Finalists & subsequently All Ireland Sevens Shield Winners. However their ultimate success came in 2006 when they won County, Provincial & All Ireland Junior titles becoming the first adult Kildare club of any code to achieve same. Paul also assisted Pat Ryan in 2007 when Kildare reached the Ladies Leinster Senior Final. Share this Article 0 0
