THE Ladies Gaelic Football Association, in conjunction with Ulster LGFA, is pleased to announce the full list of winners in Antrim, Armagh, Derry, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone, who will receive kit and equipment for their schools. Schools in these counties were asked to submit entries via social media, and the response was impressive. Schools responded in their droves, using the hashtag #SeriousSupport and their county name preceded by a hashtag (e.g. #Antrim), telling us why their LGFA School Team deserved to win this great prize. Four winners from each of the six counties were selected and the full list of winners is as follows: Antrim: Edmund Rice College, Dominican College, St Dominics, Coláiste Feirste Armagh: St John the Baptist’s College, St Ronan’s, St Catherine’s, St Paul’s Bessbrook Derry: Sperrin College, St Mary’s Magherafelt, St Patricks Dungiven, St Patricks Maghera Down: St Patricks Banbridge, Our Lady’s Newry, St Patricks Downpatrick, Our Lady’s & St Patrick’s Knock Fermanagh: St Aidan’s Derrylin, Mount Lourdes, St Kevin’s, St Fanchea’s Tyrone: St Joseph’s Coalisland, St Joseph’s Donaghmore, St Ciaran’s Ballygawley, St Patrick’s Academy Six selected schools will also have the chance to take part in the new #SeriousSupport programme which will be delivered by LGFA County Stars and aims to show girls the benefits of playing sport on and off the pitch.
