Queens ease past UUJ

Queens University Belfast recorded a resounding victory over Ulster University Jordanstown when they limited their opponents to just three scores in their recent meeting. Mairead Cooper was the scorer-in-chief for the Queens ladies with a tally of 1-5 with Louise Kelly adding a further 1-1 whist their were scores from four other players in a power packed team display.

Queens were very much in control of the match by half time as they led by 1-8 to 1 point with Kelly scoring the goal. Any chance of a Jordanstown rally was snuffed out when Cooper rattled the net from the penalty spot with 10 minutes remaining as they ran out 2-17 to 1-8 winners.
