Roscommon weekly notes: 'All roads lead to Moate'

All roads lead to Moate on Sunday next 15th July for the Minor B All Ireland final at 14:00. All support is welcome as we take on Kildare who will no doubt bring a large crowd of vocal support. We urge all our ladies from other representative teams to wear their tops, for all supporters to don their colours and to bring flags and their voices in peak condition. Wishing the team and management every success.

The County Football Championship launch was held in Croke Park Tuesday Roscommon were well represented our captain Sinead Kenny and Michael Finneran our manager participated in the day and TG4 announced a further 4 year round of funding for the championships.

We would like to compliment both the LGFA and TG4 on this and indeed work done to promote the games to date. All are asked to use #properfan when discussing Intermediate county teams and games on social media in addition to #roslgfa.

An online competition was held this week for wallplanners for the Senior and Intermediate Championships the winners were Claire Treacy Malone and Deirdre McNamara.

Congratulations to our friends in the GAA for reaching the first Super 8s of the GAA Championship.
