The Leitrim midfielder put in a stand out performance in the final of the Intermediate Championship at Croke Park. The 21-year-old school teacher from the Aughawillan club was awarded the Player of the Match trophy following her towering display in the middle of the park against Wexford. The Leitrim midfielder covered every blade on grass that day in Croke Park and also contributed five points to the scoreboard as her team claimed the inaugural Mary Quinn Memorial Cup. At the presentation of the Award, Sarah McLoughlin said, “I’m delighted to receive this award. All we wanted to do was to win the Cup and everything that has come afterwards has been brilliant. It’s a dream come true.
