Senior Football League Final

ALL Ireland club champions Donaghmoyne face Emyvale to decide the destination of the 2009 county senior league title on Sunday in Aughnamullen (12noon). The Fontenoy’s have had a sensational year to date winning the County, Ulster and All Ireland titles as well as the Abbey Fanning and Castlewellan annual Seven’s. However, Emyvale did get the better of the South Monaghan side in the All Ireland Seven’s and will not fear their rivals.
Donaghmoyne easily saw off Emyvale in the championship in a game that saw four players sin binned, three for the Emyvale side. There is no doubt the Fontenoy’s will start firm favourites with players like Catriona McConnell, Sharon Courtney and Amanda Casey is such impressive form. Emyvale, too have plenty of talent at their disposal with the McNally sisters Una, Therese, Brenda, Rynagh and Grainne along with the McAnespie twins Ciara and Aoife. It is a game that has all the ingredients of producing a tasty dish to wrap up the ladies footbaling year in the county.
