Dublin’s Sinéad Goldrick is the inaugural winner of The Croke Park Hotel Player of the Month Award in association with the Irish Independent. This monthly award, now sponsored by The Croke Park Hotel, will see Ladies Footballers across all grades of competition recognized for their achievements and Sinéad is the first recipient for July 2012. Goldrick was instrumental in Dublin’s impressive form last month, playing a key role in wins over Kildare and their march to a Leinster Final and an eventual win over provincial rivals Meath. Speaking at a lunch in her honour at The Croke Park Hotel, the Foxrock Cabinteely player said; “It is a great honour to be awarded the Ladies Player of the Month Award for July however without my teammates this would not have been possible. We win as a team and lose as a team and with this in mind I am accepting the award on behalf of the whole Dublin Ladies senior panel. We’ve worked hard the last couple of months and hope to build on our Leinster Final success. We believe that there is a lot more to come from this team.” Alan Smullen, Hotel Manager at The Croke Park Hotel commented, “We are delighted to be involved with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association and to highlight the fantastic achievements of these players as ladies football continues to go from strength to strength. Congratulations, in this our first ever award, to Sinéad Goldrick and the very best of luck to her and the rest of the Dublin team as they seek to emulate their achievements of two years ago.” Share this Article 0 0
