The sponsorship will see its iconic Connacht Gold brand appear across all senior and underage ladies’ jerseys from the beginning of March. In addition to title sponsorship of all Sligo LGFA squads, Connacht Gold will also hold naming rights to Sligo LGFA leagues and championship competitions. The partnership also marks the first time in Sligo LGFA’s history that a three year sponsorship deal has been secured for the organisation. Speaking at the formal event to launch the partnership and new kit at Aurivo’s HQ in Finisklin, Communications and brand manager, Lydia Rogers, said; “We’re delighted to partner our Connacht Gold brand with the teams of Sligo Ladies Gaelic Football Association through a three year programme of support. Sligo Ladies have performed particularly well in recent years and we are committed to helping them achieve even more and to reach their goals for 2016 and beyond. With headquarters for Aurivo’s global business based in Sligo, we have a strong commitment to the region and ethos of giving back to the community we are proud to be a part of.” Concluding, Lydia Rogers said: “With sport being a major contributor to good health, combined with a healthy, balanced diet, we see this sponsorship as being an ideal fit for Connacht Gold. Our consumer foods’ ranges offer products to suit all diets and lifestyles, including for the health conscious and sports enthusiasts— a prime example being the recent launch of our Connacht Gold Protein Milk- a 500ml fresh milk bottle which contains the optimal serving of 25 grams of protein to aid muscle recovery.” Welcoming the announcement, Sligo Ladies Gaelic Football Association chairperson, Kathleen Kane, commented; “We are delighted that Connacht Gold has gotten behind the ladies of Sligo LGFA. The subject of women in sport has received a lot of media coverage of late, and to attract a high profile brand, such as Connacht Gold, shows their commitment to the development of our dedicated senior and underage players. We look forward to working closely with Connacht Gold over the coming months and years, as ladies football goes from strength to strength.” Share this Article 0 0
