It was scheduled for Sunday last in Tubbercurry at 12 noon. Reigning champions St Nathys were back to take on Eastern Harps. In a well fought, fast pacing gamest St Nathys had the experience to seize the victory in a scoreline of 4.15 to 2.7. St Nathys now go on to face the club winners of either Leitrim or Mayo in October. Geevagh were also in action in the Connacht Club League Final in Charlestown against Kilkerrin/Clonberne but were defeated by a strong experienced Galway Club. Development Training is well under way with U13’s and U15’s on Saturdays attendance is excellent at these grades and new players are always welcome. U17s training is on Fridays at 7pm in foothill, the turnout is very low for this group and clubs are asked to encourage their players to attend. Coordinator is Paul Healy 087 6413326. Fixtures are launching the Intermediate and Senior Finals this Wednesday at 8pm in the embassy Sligo. The senior final is the regular decider between Nathys & Geevagh. Intermediate will be announced after weekend games. The Final has been set for 20th September in Quigbar, Enniscrone. This is a double header with entertainment for families organised on the day. All support is greatly appreciated, it is an honorable day for Ladies Football in Sligo and all clubs are encouraged to support the teams on the day. The Sligo Ladies County Board is seeking Managers and Trainers for the 2015 County Teams (U14, U16, Minor & Adult teams). Current Managers are thanked sincerely for their efforts and are asked to consider their position for the future and advise Secretary if they would like to continue in their role.
