Sligo Ladies notes

Presentation
The year 2008 marked 15 years of the association in the County. To celebrate the occasion a celebration night will take place on Friday 30thJanuary 2009. The venue is the Southern Hotel in Sligo. Also on the night the 2 teams that did the County proud during 2008 i.e. Seniors and U – 14’s will be presented with their medals. Both the Seniors and U – 14’s qualified for their respective Provincial Finals with the U – 14’s reaching the Blitz All Ireland Final also. To mark the 15 years of inter county action the Board will be honoring the Senior inter county team Captains down the years. Tickets for this not to be missed event will be on sale from Tuesday next 13thJanuary 2009 are priced at the grand value of €20.

January Meeting
The January County Board meeting will take place on Monday night next 12th January at 9pm in the Embassy Rooms, JFK Parade, Sligo. Clubs are also reminded that this is also the last day for the payments of Outstanding Referee Fees for 2008. A number of Clubs remain to pay these fees. Clubs are also reminded that if their Secretary or Co Board delegate have changed recently, that they might inform the Board as soon as possible. They are also reminded that the teams they intend to enter for the coming year are to be in for Monday’s meeting as well.

Sympathy
The Co Board extends sympathy to Popular Referee and former Vice Chairperson of the Board John Kilgannon on the passing of his Father, Terence Kilgannon RIP recently, and sympathy also to the extended Kilgannon Family on the sad occasion.
