To date it has been 2 wins out of 5 for the Sligo Intermediate Ladies and they were playing Wexford at home on Sunday last in a must win game to help them reach a play-off stage.  Sligo lined out a strong 15 players to take on  fit and physically powerful Wexford.  Sligo had the upper hand for most of the game with a first half goal coming from Roisin Collery to settle the players.  At half time Sligo were 4 points up but Wexford got some vital scores to narrow the gap.  Karen Maloney took some all important points through-out the game and she was helped by Aine Gormley and Nicole Fowley who secured that all important win for Sligo with a final score of 1.8 to 0.8.  The final group game is against Tipperary on the 7th April at home at 2pm (venue to be confirmed).

As the cold snap of weather is still with us and is expected to continue remember “PET STOP” who is located at Carraroe Retail Park, Sligo.  They are Sligo’s most competitive retailer for Fuel and pet supplies and are 2013 main sponsor of Sligo Ladies Football.
