Southern Gaels Munster Campaign

Southern Gaels fresh from winning the Kirby’s Brogue
Inn Senior Ladies County football championship begin their Munster
club campaign with a tie against Limerick outfit Athea in Listry
this Saturday at 3-30p.m Connie O Connor’s side were most impressive
in denying St Pats a four in a row of county titles at they won
with something to spare on a scoreline of 3-17 to 2-11 in Lewis
road back on September 9th.

The Peninsula side will be anxious to avenge their defeat to Athea
earlier in the season in the final of the Pat Lawlor competition.
That match was played in March and the Gaels were minus their Intercounty
footballers.

With Caroline Kelly, Kacey O’Driscoll and Sarah O’Connor in tow
this time round they should advance with some ease this weekend
