Speed Agility Quickness (SAQ) Conditioning Course Calling all coaches, mentors, teachers, players and athletes. Meath Local Sports Partnership are hosting an SAQ Conditioning workshop aimed at introducing the different disciplines of pre and off-season training. SAQ method of coaching is now commonly used by most intercounty and some prominent senior teams. The Content: THE COMPONENTS OF FITNESS – MODERN VIEWPOINT Leading to the explanation, definition and use of Multi-Sprint Stamina. MULTI-SPRINT STAMINA TRAINING Explanation, demonstration, 8 to 10 different sessions, discussion on how it fits into training session, weekly plan, monthly plan and yearly plan 3. USING THE BALL TO DEVELOP STAMINA USING SAQ LADDERS AND HURDLES TO DEVELOP STAMINA 5. ON-FIELD CORE STABILITY TRAINING DURING PRE-SEASON Where to fit in Core stability, What exercises to do etc. INTERGRATION OF STRENGTH TRAINING INTO CONDITIONING OR THE PRE-SEASON NOTE: SAQ Conditioning Certificate presented to all those who complete the course. This course is a stand-alone course, there is no need to have done foundation course etc. Course fee is €60 per person. The course takes place in Simonstown GAA Centre, Navan on Friday 10th & Friday 17th November 2006 from 7pm to 10pm each evening.
