St. Croan's Ladies Notes

After a convincing win over St. Domnics last week St. Croans junior ladies were determined to hold on to their winning streak as they head to Tulsk on Sunday last.  This was their second meeting with St. Marys in the championship and both teams vying for the top slot on the board.  Minutes after the through in things went Croans way as Grainne Tarmey netted a penalty to open the scoring.  This was the start that croans needed and they built on this adding a further goal and five points to their tally by half time to St. Marys 1  4.  A determined St. Marys fought back in the second half but St. Croans maintained their lead and went on to claim victory.  Final score St. Croans 3  9  St. Marys 3  6.  Training continues on Wednesday evenings.
Our u14 girls will play Kilbride in the summer league on Wednesday evening and all players are asked to be at Kilbride  pitch at 7.30.  Training continues on Sunday at 12.30.
Our u10 girls continue their series of challenge games on Monday evenings and please note that all players muct wear gumshields.
Minor championship is due to commence shortly and all players will be notified of our opening game during the week.
St. Croans Ladies are on a Cash for Clobber campaign again this year.  Bags of old clothing, bed linen, curtains, shoes etc can be left in the Fr. Flanagan Centre, Ballymoe or at the dressing rooms in Enfield throughout the summer.
On Saturday last we had a bag packing fund raiser in Dunnes Stores to raise much needed funds for the running of the club.  This was a very successful event and we would like to thank all the parents and players who gave their time so generously to assist in the bag pack.
Finally we would like to wish Ellie Maye Coen, Leah Malone and the county u16 panel all the best in the championship  final v Galway in Charlestown at 6.00 on sunay next.
