St. Croans Ladies GAA

St. Croans ladies  defeated St. Brigids in the Div 2B shield final sponsored by Pat McDonagh Interiors in Bally league on Sunday last.  Croans dominated the game throughout with Shannon Caulfield laying down the marker with a goal in the opening minutes of the game.  A strong performance in midfield from Amy Malone contributed to Croans strong lead at half time of 4-2 to 0-6.  Brigids started strong in the second half scoring a point in the opening minutes of the but a goal from Emma Glancy showed that we were not going to let this go.  Brigids made a strong attempt to get back into the game but captain, Ellie Coen and Aoife Smith made it difficult for Brigids to penetrate the back line.  Croans sealed the victory with the final score St. Croans 6-9 St. Brigids 2-8 .  We would like to congratulate the team and the management on an excellent performance.
