Junior and Minor training continued on Friday last. The Juniors next game is the Adult League Round 3 clash away to Padraig Pearses on Easter Sunday.

The U16s played Padraig Pearses on Sunday last in Knockcroghery. It was a close hard battle with the sides all even on 3 points each at half time. The second half was equally close but the Dominic’s girls were more accurate in converting their goal chances. The game ended, St. Dominic’s 3-04 to Pearses 1-05 – a five point win for the home side. The U16s next game is on Easter Sunday away to St. Marys.

U12 and U14 training continued last week. The U12s first game is the  Championship Round 1 game away to Clann na nGael on Sunday 12th April. The U14s first game is the Féile Quarter Final, away to St. Faithleachs on the following Wednesday, 15th April.

Well done to all the St. Dominic’s players who were playing with the very successful County Ladies Football teams over the weekend. On Saturday Aimee O’ Connor, Aisling Walsh, Savannah Cassidy, Emma Silke, Chloe McDonnell and Ava Sweeney and the Roscommon County U14 team played Mayo in the first round of the Connacht U14 Championship in Swinford. The Roscommon girls took the win with a 3-07 to 1-08 scoreline. Niamh Watson, Caroline Dowling and the Roscommon Adult team took on Fermanagh in Round 6 of the Tesco Homegrown League on Sunday last in Mulhern Park, Fuerty.  The sides were all even at half time but a very strong performance from the Roscommon girls in the second half resulted in a 3-15 to 1-09 win for the Rossies – well done all.
