St Louis win 7 in a row ULSTER U19A SCHOOLS FINAL St. Louis, Monaghan 4-5 Mount Lourdes, Enniskillen 0-7 St. Louis Monaghan won their seventh consecutive Ulster U19A title on Tuesday when they had ten points to spare over Mount Lourdes, Enniskillen at a very wet Roslea. Mount Lourdes captain Aisling Mc Caughey opened the scoring when she fired over at the end of their first attack. A minute later Gemma Scallon doubled their lead, scoreing a close range free. In the fifth minute St. Louis took took the lead when the excellent Ciara Mc Anespie cut in from the right, beat three defenders and blasted to the net. Scallon then fired over another free to leave the sides level. At the end of the first quarter Ciara Connolly (2) and Nicola Fahy pointed to give the Monaghan school a three point advantage. Mount Lourdes responded with the Gemma Scallon pointing three frees and another point from Eimear Martin putting them back in the lead. Then disaster struck for the Enniskillen outfit. They had trouble coping with the pacey Ciara Mc Anespie so decided to double up on her. With the next two Louis attacks Mc Anespie found the unmarked Nicola Fahy who in turn found the net to give the holders a halftime lead of 3-3 to 0-7. The second half was tight and scores were at a premium. The first didn’t arrive until the 13th minute when Alana Hackett fired over for St. Louis. Midfielder Charlotte Brady also opened her account and then on 18 minutes Ciara Mc Anespie pick up a long ball from Caroline Mc Aree and buried to the Enniskillen net. With ten minutes to go Mount Lourdes laid siege to the Louis goal but the holders defence was resolute and St. Louis went on to win 4-5 to 0-7. Scorers: St. Louis: N. Fahy 2-1, C. Mc Anespie 2-0, C.
