St. Nathys Weekly Notes

St. Nathys have entered a competition and need your help!!!! Club Crusade- sponsored by Lucozade Sport. We need to collect as many Lucozade Sport Bottle Caps as you can – the club who collects the most from their group will win €10,000. For clubs who don’t but collect at least 400 caps they will be entered into a draw to win €5,000. Please help us by collecting Lucozade Sport bottle caps and give them to any member or player of the club. Closing date is 30th September.

The end of the championship is in sight for our little under12’s, commiserations to the girls on a great season but they could not overcome a stronger Eastern Harps team on Monday night last. It is a young team but with plenty of help from their mentors, Tom Keane, Tracy O’Kennedy, Sharon Henry, Julie McGuinness, & Helen Niland they will be back stronger than ever next year.

The U16’s on Wednesday last narrowly defeated a strong Owenmore Gaels side with a 1 point victory. Both sides fought hard but our girls showed great determination and scraped through as worthy winners. There next game is away to St. Michaels next Wednesday the 17th August @7pm.

The Under 14’s commence their Championship with their first game on Monday 22nd August against Eastern Harps. We wish the girls and their management best of luck in their search for silverware.

The Senior Team captained by Carmel Kennedy ran onto the Bunninadden pitch on Sunday last with a very important job to do. The girls needed to win the first game and they did just that. They all stepped up to the mark and performed well with a score line of 4.18 to St. Michaels 1.8. The score line did not reflect the game as St. Michaels fought hard but the Nathy’s girls battled through their defence and had some excellent shots on goal and took some great long distance points. Their next team to overcome is Tourlestrane, away, on Sunday the 28th August.

The Club Sponsor for the Month of July is “Ecolab”. For all your commercial and domestic pest elimination requirements, find them on www.ecolab.com. Ecolab recently sponsored t-shirts for the 2011 U14 Feile Team. As our sponsors so generously support our club financially we encourage all players, their families and members to consider their business first when you require their service.

St. Nathys wishes to extend Sympathy to Frank Gilmartin of Rinbain and his Family on the death of his mother.
