How to Start or Grow your Club

Carnacon v Donaghmoyne - TESCO HomeGrown All-Ireland Senior Club Final

It is the time of the year when clubs are reviewing their year and also looking forward to the coming year and we are hoping to assist with this process with some new sections on our website.

This weekend sees the TESCO Homegrown All Ireland Club Finals take place and those 6 competing clubs can act as the inspiration that your club could need to achieve similar growth and success. With that in mind  here are a couple of place that you can use as a guide to help your club develop.

There are two sections recently added which are:

  1. Starting My Club – This will give you ‘My First..’ guidelines on everything from your first club meeting to budget preparation right through to your first training session. This is an excellent resource for new clubs setting up and also existing clubs putting the basic structures in place.

  1. Growing My Club – This section is designed for existing clubs to ensure that they are operating most effectively and have plans in place for their future to ensure that they continue to grow. Some of the areas in this section are ‘retaining and managing volunteers’, ‘marketing and promotion’ through to ‘writing your club history’. These are step by step resources to assist your club.
