Suncroft and St. Maur's to Meet in Leinster Junior Club Final

The line ups for the Leinster Ladies Junior Club Finals have now been confirmed following a weekend of action in the Eastern province. St. Maur’s from Dublin were narrow winners over Carrickedmond of Longford, a goal for St. Maur’s was to be the difference between the two teams at the final whistle. Suncroft from Kildare will be the opposition for St. Maur’s in that final after they edged out Naomh Ciaran from Offaly in a brilliant match. Two points were all that seperated the sides at the final whistle and there was a lovely moment of sportsmanship after the final whistle when Naomh Ciaran applauded the Kildare side off the pitch.

Clann na Gael Fontenoy were made to work very hard to clinch their place in the Leinster Intermediate Club Final as they needed extra time to clinch a 2 point victory over Killoe from Longford in a thrilling semi final. The Dublin club will have to wait to find out who they will play in the Leinster Intermediate club final though as the meeting of Naomh Ciaran from Offaly and Royal Gaels of Meath was postponed.

The Leinster Senior finalists will be confirmed next weekend when St. Loman’s (Westmeath) and St. Laruence’s (Kildare) meet in the semi final in St. Loman’s on Sunday and the winner of that contest will go forward to meet the victor of the clash between defending champions, Foxrock Cabinteely and Moutmellick Sarsfields which will also be played on Sunday with the defending champions hosting the match.
