Division 1A

Monaghan v Cork

Ferbane: 2.00pm

Reigning champions Cork travel to Ferbane to take on Monaghan
in the pick of the ties from the opening weekend of the Suzuki
Ladies National Football League.

Cork enter the match short on game time but have a two year unbeaten
record to maintain while Monaghan’s poor 2006 Championship form
has been glossed over by Donaghmoyne’s superb recent victory in
the Vhi Healthcare Senior Club Championship.

Division 2A

Dublin v Sligo

Mullingar Shamrocks: 200pm

New Dublin manager Gerry McGill has his work cut out in his first
outing in charge of the Dublin Ladies. Dublin were relegated from
Division 1 last season and must face Sligo, the 2006 All Ireland
Junior Champions, in their opening league fixture.

Sligo were Division 2 semi-finalists last year and will want
to build on their Junior All Ireland success against a new look
Dublin side.
