Tesco Ireland has announced a three year deal with Cumann Peil Gael na mBan Corcaigh to sponsor the Cork Ladies Football Club Championships. Starting this summer, Tesco HomeGrown will become the title sponsor of all Cork Ladies Football Club Championships from the U/11 Championship right up to the Senior Championship. In addition to supporting the Cork Ladies Football Championships, Tesco HomeGrown will be supporting Cork clubs through a number of initiatives including a sponsored jersey scheme, player’s awards, fundraising activities and support of the Championship finals. Further details of these initiatives will be announced shortly. Four of Cork’s highest profile Club and County stars were on hand to launch the sponsorship – Geraldine O’Flynn (Liscarroll), Rena Buckley (Donoughmore), Valerie Mulcahy (Rockban) and Annie Walsh (Inch Rovers). Tesco has long been a supporter of Ladies Gaelic Football Association and currently sponsors the All Ireland Club Championships, the All Ireland Club Sevens, the Club Person of the Year Award and the All Ireland Post Primary Schools competitions.
