21 September 2018 The Banner Claim All Ireland Senior 7's Crown Share this Article 0 0 0 Shares! 0 Shares! There was another hugely successful day in Naomh Mearnóg and St Sylvester’s GAA Clubs last Saturday for our All Ireland Club 7’s and it was an amazing spectacle as 14 pitches were in full flow throughout the day with teams at Senior, Intermediate and Junior level. In the Junior section Ballyboughal (Dublin) claimed the Shield title in a local derby beating Scoil Uí Chonaill (Dublin), 6-4 to 2-8 and Naomh Anna Leitir Móir (Galway) proved too strong for Castleknock (Dublin) in the Championship Final, 2-9 to 1-6. This was an excellent achievement with 30 teams contesting the junior section of this year’s 7’s ! In the Intermediate grade Longford’s Clonguish took home the Shield in an exciting game beating Saval (Down) 2-13 to 4-5 while Parnells (London) took the silverware overseas when they overcame Tuam Cortoon (Galway) with a score of 7-8 to 2-6. The Senior Shield was a Galway derby with Claregalway taking on Moycullen resulting in a Shield Title for Claregalway with a final score of 3-12 to 2-5. The Senior Championship competition was hugely competitive with Banner Ladies (Clare) winning back to back titles bringing the silverware home to Clare once again beating Emyvale (Monaghan), 7-5 to 5-5. We were delighted to have teams from all over Ireland and also Britain, and from Asia, Singapore Gaelic Lions taking part. We would like to thank all our volunteers, officials and of course our host clubs for another amazing day. https://ladiesgaelic.ie/galleries/2018-all-ireland-club-7s/ Share this Article 0 0
