Amy Mulvenna is the toast of St MacNissis College this week after claiming first prize in a recent Womens Sports Network (www.womens-sport.com) Schools art competition Girls Wanna Play Too. The Art Competition which was open to all school children in the North of Ireland was part of the Womens Sports Network aim at promoting womens sport in Northern Ireland. Pupils had to draw an image of Womens Field Sport in Northern Ireland including Ladies Gaelic. Amy won the Year 8 Year 12 Category as well as the North Eastern Education Library Board Region prize. Beating of stiff competation from the other 1000 entries, Amys picture was judged to be the best overall and so she claimed the overall top prize of £1000. Amy and her School were presented with their ONeills Sponsored Prize at a recent awards seminary in Belfast City Hall by Belfast Lord Mayor, Councillor Martin Morgan. Overall St MacNissis College won £1000 worth of ONeills International Sportswear vouchers, while Amy won herself £250 worth of sports wear.
