The toast of St MacNissi’s College - “Girls Wanna Play Too”.


Amy Mulvenna is the toast of St MacNissi’s College this
week after claiming first prize in a recent Women’s Sports
Network (www.womens-sport.com) Schools art competition “Girls
Wanna Play Too”.

The Art Competition which was open to all school children
in the North of Ireland was part of the Women’s Sports Network
aim at promoting women’s sport in Northern Ireland. Pupils
had to draw an image of Women’s Field Sport in Northern
Ireland including Ladies Gaelic.

Amy won the Year 8 – Year 12 Category as well as the North
Eastern Education Library Board Region prize. Beating of
stiff competation from the other 1000 entries, Amy’s picture
was judged to be the best overall and so she claimed the
overall top prize of £1000.

Amy and her School were presented with their O’Neills Sponsored
Prize at a recent awards seminary in Belfast City Hall by
Belfast Lord Mayor, Councillor Martin Morgan.

Overall St MacNissi’s College won £1000 worth of O’Neills
International Sportswear vouchers, while Amy won herself
£250 worth of sports wear.
